Curved Intersections on Internals

I'm trying to create an internal cutout piece with curved intersections at the corners. I draw a square with Digitize Line, Modify/Split it at the corners, then use Curved Intersection to make the 4 corners have a .25" radius. Then I do Edit Line Info to set the line to H and close it, but that's where things get weird. I get an error message that says "cannot close a cutout internal with less than 4 points". I added some extra points to the lines, which still didn't work. Then the lines make some weird connections to each other.  I've used curved intersection without issue on perimeters, but I can't seem to make it work with an internal.
