Can you describe what about the rule table you do not understand?
Once you have entered values in the rule table, filling out any necessary rules for your piece(s), you will save the rule table and close it.
Go to Pattern Design and open the pieces. Make sure the rule table has been assigned to the pieces/model, and then you can use Edit Point to apply the rules to the grade points.
I also recommend training on this topic. In Gerber University, there is an upcoming class which features an introduction to grading in AccuMark. The next available session is on 5/29 at 11 AM CDT.
The rule table is needed for the sizing information. Without that you would only have size 1 on the pattern. In PDS you can use the Grade\edit delta function to grade the pattern in the X and Y direction. And then use the Grade\export rules function to export these measurements back to the grade rule table. Or if you already have grade rules in your grade rule table you can apply the grade rule numbers to the point in pattern design using the Edit\point info, drag to the point and type in the grade rule number.
Grade rules from rule table more useful for digitizing. Press B and rule number after A on point. And you'll get graded piece while digitize only base size.
I get putting the values in the rule table, how do you assign them to the piece that needs to be graded?
I will definitely sign up for that event. I want to learn more !!
Right click in the work area and select edit points
drag to the point and in the little box type in the grade rule number.
In PDS, use Assign Rule Table to ensure the correct Rule Table with grading is connected to your pieces.
Once you have done this, use Edit Point to assign the Grade Rule numbers from your table to assign those rules/growth to the piece, point by point. Edit Point has a value field reserved specifically for adding/editing grade rule numbers.
I hope this helps and look forward to having you in class!
@LisaLowell Thank you so much for replying, I appreciate it
Thank you so much!!!!!
Curious about grading, tho I have a general question:
do you usually grade from "cut line "or the "sew line"?
Thank you!
If you are talking about Gerber University, it is open to anyone. Simply fill out the registration page and proceed to login.
There are currently no previously referenced scheduled classes available, but you can purchase the recorded version of AccuMark 201 Lesson 1, which covers basic grading in AccuMark.
Grading can be done from the cut line or sew line in AccuMark, depending on whichever is defined as the piece boundary. Personally, I prefer to grade from sew lines, whether I am using AccuMark or grading manually. This is a matter of preference, of course, which is why we allow both!
