New model rule tables

andego1986andego1986 Posts: 72
I'm creating a new model through the copy model function in PDS which is fine & renaming all the pieces  but I'm also putting in some sleeves from a different style with a different rule table.

My question is , do I leave the the new model style with two rule tables associated with it  because of grading or do I just  rename the sleeves rule table the same as the new model rule table. or do I assign the  new model rule table to the sleeve patterns,

Would this affect all the grading on the sleeve & any attributes associated with the sleeve patterns?

When I work with a new style that has components from other styles in it [sleeves from one and body parts from others]  I save as the new style name, then open in PDS and go to menu -> grade -> assign rule table -> I select the one that I want for the entire style.   In my case I've made most grade points compatible between different rule sets.

Best case scenario once applied the rule will apply the new grade with out issues, worst you remove all graded points after assigning the rule table and reassign grade's to the needed points.

There you can copy sizeLine from one piece to another in PDS. NOT just assign rule table..
The benefit is you shouldn't care the new table's rules will damage grade present in pieces .

Also an option for one or two pieces :)

Thanks you both for your comments & input. I’m assuming it would be better to copy the size line From the main body to the sleeves . But then would I have to just rename the rule table to the new style name without it affecting any grading . I’m a bit nervous when it comes to rule tables atm😁
