Thank you.

    If you save as its listed as a check mark at the bottom of that menu, if you save its listed in the command prompt on the right of the screen unless you have moved that. if you want to use it you can just highlight the parts you want at the top and right click and select what you want to do with the parts from there.

    Hi Asmith.
    Thank you for that, but I don't understand what you are saying.
    As far as I can remember, I would select all the pieces with a marquee and click something and save it like that?

    Hi.
    First you have define position.
    Place pieces you need in position you need. Next use command DefinePosition...

    there are two different scenarios that you will run into. the 1st is the way that i do it which is done when you save the piece, and the 2nd is where no one worried about it and you are doing it after the fact. the 2nd is define position which is what vasyl explained. below are pictures of all three.

    you can also have multiple positions, thats done with define. i do not need any more than the original so i only use it in very specific cases.

    Thank you both so much. Unfortunately, it's not working for me. I have chosen 'set original positions' in both places for piece saving. However I work with models ann set up my patterns the way  I like to see them together on the workplace. I remember using a marquee and choosing all pieces then saving somehow so that every time I come back to the model, I choose the pieces from the many and left click 'please selected positions' and they all ar arranged the way I saved them, not every piece on top of each other. It saves time. Unfortunately, your suggestions are not working fo rme. I'm going to keep trying but if you can think of what I'm doing wrong,...thank you very much both.

    What version are you on? maybe its a bug, you did save them after you checked it right? just checking the box wont do anything. you have to check it then save.

    Ah, finally, it worked! I had to go back and forth from saving model and pieces. Now it works. Thank you so much for your time. Can I be cheeky and ask if you know about using shoulder pads in 3D?

    im thinking they fixed something in v15 and im using v14.2 so when you save a model in this version it saves all the pieces again so maybe something is going on there. if i use the position function its just in very specific cases. i work in furniture and not apparel so i have alot of weird situations. but that being said i cant help you with the shoulder pad issue as i know nothing about it.

    It used to be easy to choose the whole set of patterns arranged as you wanted them, and saving them like that. Now it seems a bit more time-consuming and complicated. Never mind. Thank you again for helping me out. Have a great day.

    I found it's just quicker to place pieces as needed in Easy Marker - save the layout I want.

    @ScottMCC
    what are you referring to? how is saving pieces in marker laying going to change the piece orientation inside of pds? ive never knew that was a thing, ive looked and i dont see anything that has to do with layout other than layrules.

    Perhaps I have the wrong idea of what they were doing, seemed to me they wanted the piece orientation to hold through to the marking from PDS.
