CUT and SEW line are not synced

Hi all!

Something strange is happening on my PDS my SEW and CUT line seems to be unlinked so when I put a notch on SEW line is not showing on CUT line, when I move SEW line the CUT line is not moving.

So bizarre, I am not sure what I did wrong.

Hi. There are wrong seam properties in pieces.
You've update seams (same named command). Open [seam properties].
I prefer Generation seam choice

Vasyl can please you post the screenshot of your defaults [seam properties].
So far attempted different option and no results

You have

1. Take command Update seams
2. Set proper Seam Properties. Look rigth for same named button. I'm using Generation. [OK]

3. Select your pieces to update propeies.

Following your steps, however I do not see "Generation" option anywhere, what I am missing?

Switch to "Edit Seam Properties" in this dialog box.

And set "Adjust seam grading" in options panel (right) side.


PS. Somebody prefer "Copy Grade rules"...  It's a topic for hollywar ))

There are settings for two primarily different situations - sew/cut lines on standard pieces and pieces using alteration points and the alteration tables. Generally speaking, it is recommended to use "Generate Seam/Corners" when not using alterations. Save pieces in Sew state except with Alterations, limit swap/sew-cut between pattern changes and hide your seams when saving. This will avoid duplicate point ID messages!!

Dear @Kathy Valade. For alteration designer available work with sew lines. Just have to update Seam with option "copy point numbers".
Some extra goal to work in this way is the sew line will be alter as well cut line.

I think my program was corrupted, I did the "Repair" option to the program it seams to resolve the issue.

@Vasyl Did you mean Update Seam with Copy Grade Rules? That will not work well if the user is modifying grade rules and it will lead to Duplicate Point ID messages upon saving patterns.

Yes, great video Vasyl, thank you for your effort, worth watching a couple of times
.
With that said in my particular case, I think that somehow the program got corrupted.
after running the 'repair' option, things got better, tho some pieces were beyond repair and I had to retrace  some of them.

@Abhi_Irina, this video related to question "wrong alteration related renumbering ..".

In your case there should be correct SeamProperties

Hi guys!
We found a solution, since the problem was happening to two workstations.
We simply designate seamalwance as "0" and then reassight seamalawance again and eveything does back to normal.

I suppose there was wrong seam properties in pieces. Cos when you assign allowance then you redefine new right properties.

Cos much easy and quickly would be update seam
