digitizer skips parts on pattern pieces

Hi everyone, we are having problems  with our digitizer or mouse.  
 the problem is  when we start to digitize a pattern it starts digitizing OK ,but then it skips some of the lines from the pattern piece. does any one know what i can do? do i need a new mouse?
our digitizer model #is AF110S.C

I appreciate all the help i can get
