I had to reinstall everything to my computer, everything works on accumark except the plotter is not reading the USB? I tried different cables for my connection, but it's not reading it? These are the same cables I used before. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong? I've been using these cables for years, so I'm not sure if one of my cables is not working? The plotter is online on my other computer but on this one is not showing?

    Is your plotter type really a Inf45? This type uses a serial connection. Did you use a USB-to-serial-converter before? If the com-port is not listed when using a USB-adapter, the operating system may not recognize the adapter and will not assign a com-port to it. Check device-manager. COM-NET is only used for Infinity plotter equiped with a ethernet-interface, this is not available on INF 45. IF COM-NET is used for INFII/85 you have to enter a IP-address as well as a port-number (plotter has to be configured for network)

    You've to install usb-serial adapter's driver before

    Jost Lindemann Yes that is my plotter I had the USB adapter for a long time, 2 weeks ago my computer died completetly, so I had to get it fixed and all my work and software were wiped out, so I reinstalled everything like I had it before, but now the plotter is not connecting. Do I need to get  new USB adapter?

    Yes, have to have a USB-To-Serial adapter for connecting the plotter. Since the computer will assign a free COM-port#, you may look into devicemanager to gather the assign port#. This port has to be the one to be chosen in AM-Hardwareconfig.

    @Kaygarzon I've gone through Your conversation and suggest You to take regular backups of Your computer. For example, I always make a restore point after every major installation and when things get fuzzy, I just restore the computer and everything works fine...
