customise workspace: grain line orientation

Hi! :)
I am wondering if anyone knows a way to change the default grain line orientation in the PDS?
i would like the grain-orientation to be vertical instead of horizontal...

Create a new grain line, call that G and either rename the old or delete the old.  If you want multiple grain lines again create the new, call it g, rename the old to I, when the new line updates that will be called G0, then rename the old to G1.  You can have up to 9 grain lines on a piece.
  • Thank you so much, Lisa!!!!
Is it possible to change the general orientation of the grain-lines?

As when i am working i like to work with the pieces upright, but when i save, the pieces rotate back into the default orientation :)

You can also use the Realign Grainline function.

yes, and keep in mind you do not need to change the grain line for pattern revisions, only for grading purposes.  Attached I wrote up instructions for this.  This would be the quickest way to get what you need.  This way the part is orientated in pattern design the way you need, and in the marker the way it would need to be cut.
