Error 4128 trying to print

Error 4128 while attempting to print in webPDM usually indicates that there are multiple print server processes running on the webPDM application server.

This can easily happen if someone makes a remote connection to the server, and starts up another print server service. Usually PLMTech -support sets up a service account with which to run the webPDMPrint Server Service (webPDMMTS, or webPDMadmin)


  • Start the Task Manager on the webPDM application server (or separate print server if applicable)
  • Kill the extra webPDM PrintServer~1 (~2 or ~3, etc) running under the administrator account used to remote connect.
  • Try to print!
