How do we connect an Mp1800 plotter to the Accumark?

Does the Mp1800 connect with a USB cable?

This plotter is connected via USB or IP and requires additional interface software before configuring in Hardware Configuration. It is best to contact the Customer Solutions Center- Hardware Support for assistance.

you can connect MP plotter to PC via USB cable or Ethernet.
For USB connection you should use USB2.0 controller (that's the recommendation as with USB3.0 you can face some troubles)
Remember, the limit for USB connection cable is 5m.
Supported operating systems are Win7 and above. This is about MP plotter software.
The AccuMark version is also important (can't be older than v8.2 for full integration)
    Hope it helps.
  • We have level 11 software. Do we need to do anything on the accumark software other than hardware config.

No. Just install the MP software (pay attention to plotter driver and cretificate), configure Server instance and setup your AccuMark hardware configuration accordingly.

Also, what version of MP Server/User Manager software and firmware version (displayed in the plotter LCD panel when turned on) do you have?
  • have downloaded plotter driver MP software 3 version 3.0.37 is this correct for an  MP1800 plotter. Accumark software level is 11 we have plugged in the plotter to a USB port. Not sure how to get the PC to see the plotter and to assign the driver software???

You need to install the MP plotter software you just downloaded on the station where plotter is configured. That is Server Manager and User Manager V3.0.37 The setup can be tricky since it will assign an ip address that must be configured in Hardware Configuration on the Plot tab. I would recommend that you follow up with Hardware Support 800.321.2448 for assistance if needed.
