Is it still possible to obtain parts for Fastrack 1300 plotter/cutter? I am getting an error on startup that indicates Dram failed IO Test.
Hi @Bryan Hepworth, I am tracking someone down to answer this question for you. More info soon!
Hello @Bryan Hepworth
Is a Fastrack 1300 or 1800?
Thanks so much for the responses - it's a 1300 @rphipps .
No longer supported.
I guess it's case of trying to find a secondhand/reconditioned part, any chance of a part number for the replacement?
The part number for the board is:
P63659A F/TRACK MAIN PC BD (2ND VER)(650/1300)SE
We do not have any left in stock.
Thanks so much for the information, at least it now gives me something to search on, much appreciated.
Just to clarify this is a Gerber part number. These board were made by Mutoh and we OEM the product.
Idle curiosity - having seen what I believe is a picture of the mainboard, am I right in thinking the dram is actually a plug in module? it certainly looks that way? Did these boards suffer from the dreaded swollen capacitor issue? as I'm reading about a few failures like there must have been a common issue?
Hi Everyone we are from the uk and have the same problem. Infact we have 2 Gerber
Fastracks 1300. One is showing the same fault but to be honest we have been abit at a loss with the lack of information on this. I know they are old the one that is still working is over 14 years old! Can this fault be corrected, is there a part we can buy?
Is it as Bryan has asked a plug in module we have opened it up but cant find it. And noone in the UK seems to know.
Hello, Yes some of the chips on a FASTtrack board were socketed and when you changed out the main board you would move your chips over to the new boards. If I remember correctly the U3 is were all you data was stored.
Chips were EEPROM 0 went in socket U9, EEPROM 1 went in socket U15 and EEPROM U3 went in socket U3. This is if you can find a set of EPROM chips
I have checked stock and we no longer have boards or P62808A EPROM SET-FT
