After installation of Version 10, My customer's are complaining about the system slowing down and there is delay in opening the storage-areas and any editors. What would be the cause?
What version of 10? Are they on SQL storage areas? Have you whitelisted or excluded gerber files from realtime anti-virus scans? Check the documentation folders on the DVD or software download for information on interactions with anti-virus? Where specifically are they experiencing slowdown? Opening the applications or with data?
I had the same issue. Problem was that our Windows didn't have latest updates. Thank you.
I work now with Accumark v.10.4 and need around 20 sec to open model in PDS. If i already have the other opened model it will need around a secound to open the secound one. I have all Windows updates.
@EvelinaStoyanova SQL or userroot storage areas? If userroot are they on the c:\drive or a network drive?
delay more than a minute to open model on pds. local and sql storage
Be sure that your antivirus updates including enterprise versions and policies do not block AccuMark programs for the logged on user.
The following folders should be included on the Exceptions List to avoid programs failing to launch and potential slowness opening AccuMark applications:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Gerber Technology
C:\Program Files (x86)\Gerber Technology
We have found that the slowness may be an issue with Microsoft updates for Windows 10. A new update can fix the slowness. Check that your system is set to receive Windows Updates, and check in the Update History if KB4058258 is listed.
If not, run windows update or try installing the Microsoft Update on Windows 10 systems from the link below:
Please reply if this fixes your slowness issue.
If not - please use the Problem and Enhancement Report Utility (PERU) on the system that is having the issue, and submit a report and we can investigate further.
